We had a “Make your own Valentine’s” workshop at the store yesterday and as I saw the kids making Valentine’s (some of the masterpieces above)- I thought, Why should kids have all the fun?? I got in their with glitter and doily’s– but realized that somewhere along the line I “learned” that Valentine’s are suppossed to be red- not blue or orange as seemed to be the popular request, and neat- rather than “lakes” of glitter and rough edges. Somewhere over the years I fell into line of what society thinks we should be or do- and realized, while watching these little kids, why should they have all the fun?? This year everyone is getting rainbow Valentine’s- with gobs of glitter! xoxoxo
