My “Book Club” met last night and as usual, we had a wonderful time. I put the words Book Club in quotes because we did not actually have a book to discuss, we just got together out of love and friendship. I am an avid reader, but its hard to pull everyone together first of all, let alone READ AND DISCUSS a book. We always have wayyyy tooooo much to catch up on and discuss, that it never seems we have time to talk about an actual book. And last night everyone booked (!) it out to Brooklyn to visit me and the shop out of love, tenderness & friendship, and then we went to a wonderful Thai dinner (at Joya on Court Street in Carroll Gardens-I highly recommend it!). I LOVE all my book club girls and wish we had a picture of us all together (especially last night, because I must say everyone looked particulary pretty)- but alas we have yet to capture ourselves on film. We have been together for several years now- through the good times, the bad times- some great books and some so-so reads. I love you guys! Maybe we will start a Book Club at the shop too- what do you think?
