Happy Three Kings Day Everyone! We were reminded of this holiday yesterday when one of our favorite customers, Salome, came in to do some shopping for her kids for the special occasion. We love the twelve days of Christmas around here (as you know) and although many celebrate them starting on 12/13 as the countdown to Christmas, Church calendars agree though that the twelve days of Christmas start on 12/25 and end today, January 6th, on the Feast of the Three Kings. Without getting to religious here (and taken straight from the Three Kinds Website)- “According to an old legend based on a Bible story, these three kings saw, on the night when Christ was born, a bright star, followed it to Bethlehem and found there the Christchild and presented it with gold, frankincense and myrrh.” As per my usual MO, I see it as an opportunity to open more PRESENTS!! Yay!
