Banana Savers SAVED the day!

It was another crazy fun day over here at the General Store– especially thanks to these fun girls. Sabrina (in the middle) called a few times this afternoon confirming we had Bananasavers in stock– and YES, of course we did. These lovely ladies were on a hunt for them and drove all over Manhattan looking for them (they were soo excited, they asked me to take their picture!). Luckily, thanks to asking around and google, they found us and they bought almost our whole stash (don’t worry, we will reorder tmrw). I carry mine everywhere and it is literally one of the most asked about products in the shop. Get one (or 10 or 20!) for yourself! Bananasavers (with carabiners)- $8.

Terrariums are so “in” right now.

If you haven’t already jumped in on the terrarium trend, it’s not too late! We have some amazing Make Your Own Terrarium kits by SpitFire Girl. Pebbles, soil, moss, and toy are included. All YOU have to do is pick your plant (small succulents are the easiest to care for), transfer to the mason jar, water and enjoy! I LOVE mine. That handsome little gnome makes me smile every time it’s time to water my plant. I have such a small apartment, there isn’t a ton of space for potted green things but this little guy is just perfect. Makes me ready for spring!!

 

 

 

Tattly Sets are Here!!!

We loooooove the Swiss Miss, Tina Roth Eisenberg’s fabulous blog, not to mention her gorgeous designy temporary tattoos! Created after tiring of tacky temporary tattoos for her kids, Tina has collaborated with such illustrators as Julia Rothman, Oliver Jeffers, and Jim Datz (and many more) to create fun and beautiful temporary tattoos for kids and adults. We just added some of their fabulous sets, which make great gifts, or a fun party favor. The Party Set was perfect for our friend Jenn’s birthday party last weekend!

Happy New Year! Thank you all for an AMAZING 2012- our best one yet!! It was a crazy year, with our busiest Holiday Season ever. We had some growing pains and met lots of new friends along the way but we are getting back to business as usual… Cheers to Peace, Love and Happiness in 2013.
