I LEGO N.Y.- Brilliant, just Brilliant…

As with many cool things I come across at the shop, I totally wish I had thought of Christoph Niemann’s I Lego N.Y. concept myself. This hilarious board book showcases Niemann’s Lego structures that he made with his son’s Lego’s during his cold Berlin Winter away from NYC.  He posted them on his NYTimes blog and New York lovers here and across the world celebrated how simply he captured the spirit of some of NY’s famous landmarks, as well as some more mundane aspects of city living. Here are a few from his blog, ALL ARE BRILLIANT! It was hard to just pick a few, all of them are in the book, $15.95.

I love Lego’s, so stay tuned for more LEGO treats next week…

p.s. I am a big fan of Neimann’s work. According to the back of the book, his illustrations have appeared on the covers of The New Yorker, Wired, The New York Times Magazine, and American Illustrated and has won many awards. You might remember seeing his work on here earlier as well, in one of my first posts about these cool posters…
