Permission Slip to….

My friend Jill sent me this postcard a few weeks ago, a PERMISSION SLIP to not sweat the small stuff. Today I am using this to its fullest as I have already had a crazy busy day and its not even noon and I know there still a million things I’m not going to get done in time. I loved this so much I had Jill make some for the shop (they are all hand stamped!) – pick one up for yourself or send one to a friend! $1.

Dumpling Dynasty!!!

The Dumpling Dynasty is here- yeahhh!! These colorful tins are decorated to invoke other-worldly nostalgia with their vibrantly detailed decorations.  The Kimono doll kit contains all the fixins to make an adorable felt doll (and you can use the tin again and again), where as the Pigtail kit has a high quality comb & mirror set as well as carefully chosen vintage hair accessories including hand-made, real wool pom poms. What little girl wouldn’t LOVE those?! The Star Gazers Kit includes telescope, glow stars, Stargazers log book. And the Happy Hour Kit, well let’s just say there is magic to be made from that one! Doll Kit– $19.95, Pigtail Kit– $17.95, Stargazers Kit– $19.95, and the Happy Hour Kit-$19.50.

bikAren’t these Bike Pins cute? They are designed from a vintage Bicycle drawing and are pinned onto to retro cards from around the country. Clever and cute, $10 each in Green, Blue, Pink and Purple. And if you’re LOCAL, remember to come out to the Atlantic Antic this weekend- the largest Street Fair in Brooklyn, which stretches from Hicks to 4th Avenue through the heart of Brownstone Brooklyn. We will have a table on Atlantic (between Bond and Hoyt, near the Hope Veterinary Clinic) and will be selling some fun goodies, along with limited edition Spread Love, It’s The Brooklyn Way T-shirts. They went FAST last year, so email me if you want me to save you one. We will also be doing a Sidewalk Salvador Dali contest- so pick up some sidewalk chalk from Jess at the booth on Atlantic and then come over to see me at the shop to enter. See you then!

I’ve got a thing for ROBOTS…

I love robots and am always oddly drawn to them whenever they are part of a collection, like this Mr. Robot stuffed toy (above). We’ve got a bunch of other Robot goodies too (tin wind ups, lunchbags, tattoos, ETC.) in the shop too. Sometimes I get all robot- like and Rob says he needs to unwind my “key” and slow me down, but I try to keep going, going, going! Mr. Robot $29.50.

TEA (or coffee) done right…

I am BONKERS for these cute new Tea Towers!!  A whole tea set for one stacked on top of each other- love the fun & function of it, not to mention how beautiful they are. The sugar bowl is on top, then creamer, cup, pot- perfect treat for your favorite coffee or tea lover. Available in Grey (with yellow) or Red Polka Dots. $39.99.

Color Me Happy…(and Tornado update!)

LOVE this new Colorwheel Pendant (cool packaging too, eh?).  Show all your colors with this 18k Gold Dipped Necklace- $44.

p.s. THANK YOU for all your concerns re: the Tornado/severe weather we had last evening in Brooklyn. It was CRAZY! I pulled the door shut once it started to downpour and was holding this large metal rod that we pull down the gates with- just as lightning flashed seemingly right next to me, and I am thinking I HAVE A LIGHTNING ROD IN MY HANDS!! But, we are all okay even though some of the blocks around us suffered some of the most severe damage. Thanks again for checking in on us!!
