Tales from the (Newborn Baby) Front: Coco loves Nursery Rhymes—

Baby Coco is now 3 weeks old! Time flies when you are changing diapers all day! Rob’s Aunt Lena has been with us for the past few days and we have been having a great time. Nana Lena is great with babies, and one (of many) piece of wisdom I learned is that little babies love nursery rhymes. The cadence, the rhymes (who doesn’t love a good rhyme?) all make for great baby talk. We got this great book from one of our neighbors (thanks Lisa!!)- I love it so much we ordered it for the shop– Tomie de Paola’s Mother Goose– $25.99.

Here is one of my favorites–

A wise old owl sat in an oak-

The more he heard the less he spoke;

The less he spoke the more he heard.

Why aren’t we all like that wise old bird?
